Good Friday program
The Arts-to-Hearts Children’s Ministry Team and the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church youth will present “Arise My Love” at 7 p.m. today at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at the corner of Peger Road and the Mitchell Freeway. Seasonal vocal music and a dramatic blacklight presentation of three acts depicting the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ will be featured. Free children’s Bibles and personalized Bible covers will be given to the first 25 children who need one.
The program will also be presented Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission Chapel, 723 27th Ave. Both presentations are open to the community.

At Anglican Church of St. George, the Rev. Corinthian Baptist

True Victory Baptist Church, 11 Mile Richardson Highway, North Pole, hosts worship service every Sunday at 11 a.m. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. The lesson this week is “Reaping the Benefits,” Romans 5:1-11, 18-21.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fairbanks, 4448 Pikes Landing Road, an open and affirming congregation, meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. This week the program will be “Breaking Out: A Buddhist, Jewish, and Pagan Easter for Prodigals and Children” with speaker Jeff Merkel and lay leader Michael Ream. University Baptist
University Baptist Church, 1197 University Ave., will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Sunday morning services are 9 and 11 a.m., and Bible study for all ages, at 10 a.m., with the pastor’s discovery class topic from Tony Evans, on “Allowing Your Husband to Bless You.”
The morning message at both services, will be “After 3 Days — Arise.” A continental breakfast will be available in the foyer following the 9 a.m. service. At 6 p.m., the Music Ministry of UBC will present a musical extravaganza in celebration of Easter, followed by a dessert fellowship in Fellowship Hall.

University Presbyterian
At University Community Presbyterian Church, 3510 College Road, Good Friday Tenebrae service is at 7 p.m. Easter morning begins with a church wide breakfast at 9:15 a.m. worship begins at 10:30; the Rev. Samuel Adams will preach “To The Tomb and Beyond.” Communion will be celebrated.
Living Waters will meet Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Children grades K-4 are invited to their own special worship time during the sermon. There is a nursery available during the service for children from ages 6 weeks to 5.
University Park
University Park Bible Church, located at 3681Sandvik St., will host Easter worship service from 10-11 a.m. followed by Sunday school for all ages. Pastor Jeff Wagner will preach “The Empty Tomb” from John, Chapter 20. The bell choir will perform.
