Off-road travel on all state-owned lands on the North Slope was halted at noon Friday. The area includes the Upper Foothills, Lower Foothills, Eastern Coastal and Western Coastal tundra opening areas.

Off-road travel currently in progress must be completed by noon Monday. Any exceptions must have prior approval of an authorized representative of the Division of Mining, Land and Water.

Summer off-road travel will be allowed beginning July 15. Summer off-road travel requires a permit and approval from the Division of Mining, Land and Water.
