Aviation Appreciation Day

Aviation Appreciation Day will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today in the Sadler Business Plaza/Alaska Aerofuel Facility on Old Airport Way. It is free and open to the public.

Educational and informational displays, both military and civilian, and an EAA Young Eagles flight program for youth 8-18 will be available. Local air carriers and local businesses and the TVC Aviation Department will be represented providing a look inside their operations and career opportunities.

A pancake breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person, 6-12 $2.50 and under 6, free.

The event is sponsored by EEA Chapter 1129, Alaska Aerofuel, Alaska Airman’s Association, AOPA, FAA, TSA, US Customs, FEDC, DOT-Fairbanks International Airport, FCVB and the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce.
