Today from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. is Kids’ Fish and Game Fun Day, sponsored by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game at Creamer’s Field, 1300 College Road.

Activities will include fishing for real fish — fishing rods and bait provided, an opportunity to practice spin casting and fly casting and archery skills, shoot a muzzle-loader, make a fish print (bring your own t-shirt), watch retriever and pointing dogs in action, learn some outdoor survival techniques and firearm safety and discover what life would be like if you were born a salmon.

Numerous outdoor organizations and agencies will host hands-on-activities and provide information, including door prizes.
