Through the ice fog, Didier Moggia of Whitehorse, Yukon, is the first musher to leave the starting line of the Yukon Quest in Fairbanks on Saturday. Race teams and fans braved forty-below temperatures for the start of the 1,000-mile race to Whitehorse.
