Athabascan Word of the Week: Kaltag Placenames

Since Iditarod mushers may be passing through Kaltag and heading over the portage, here are some placenames from that area. Several elders from Kaltag were interviewed about the placenames. They included Mary Rose Agnes, Goodwin Semaken, Alex Solomon, Berkman Esmailka and elders who have passed on: Franklin Madros, Plasker Nickoli, and Burke Semaken.
