Structural engineer joins Alaska firm

FAIRBANKS — David Vanairsdale recently joined WHPacific as a structural engineer in its Fairbanks office.

His 15 years of experience include a diverse assortment of projects throughout Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. He has designed buildings for various uses including retail stores, office buildings, healthcare facilities and airport terminals.

Vanairsdale received a civil engineering degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1993.

WHPacific Inc., formerly ASCG Inc., is a full-service architecture and engineering firm founded in Anchorage in 1981. The firm has 17 offices in eight states, including offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla and Barrow.

    David ought to spend at least a year in the field. That way the hands won`t have to fix as many of your screw ups.It`s a lot different than seeing it on your computer screen.
