Stumble It!ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A political action committee is thanking Gov. Sarah Palin for her conservative values and service to America in ads timed for release around Thanksgiving.
Our Country Deserves Better Committee, a PAC that supported Palin during her vice presidential candidacy, will begin airing the ads on Tuesday.
In one, comforting music plays as images of Palin are flashed on a screen and a male voice says, "Gov. Sarah Palin, a grateful nation wishes to thank you for serving the people of America with a servant's heart."
A male figure then appears in front of a smiling image of Palin and says, "We thank you for your passionate, hopeful and articulate advocacy of common sense conservative values."
The ad ends with a chorus of people exclaiming: "Thank You, Sarah Palin!"
Two of the ads are Thanksgiving-themed. In one, a camera pans a large, holiday table loaded with turkey, sides and all the fixings. A male voice intones, "Gov. Sarah Palin, as Americans sit down to their Thanksgiving dinners of turkey, or moose, a grateful nation wishes to say thank-you."
The ad ends with a grandmotherly woman wearing an apron and holding up a wooden spoon asking Palin for her moose chili recipe.
The ads will run on broadcast and cable networks both in Alaska and the lower 48 states. The four major networks will run the ad on Thanksgiving.
Sal Russo, chief strategist for Our Country Deserves Better Committee, said he worked for Ronald Reagan's first campaign for governor of California in 1966. Palin, he said, generates the same kind of excitement.
"There was just an excitement that most politicians don't get," he said.
Russo said Palin also was subjected to a lot of negative attacks and cheap shots while campaigning with John McCain.
"Washington elites don't like outsiders," Russo said. "We want her to know that doesn't reflect what millions of Americans think."
Palin has not yet seen the ads, spokesman Bill McAllister said Tuesday.
"Right now, she is concentrating on Alaska state government business," he said.
Russo said since being formed in early August, the Our Country Deserves Better Committee has raised and spent about $1.5 million, mostly on pre-election McCain-Palin ads that were focused on Nevada, Colorado and Michigan, three states where voters went for the Obama-Biden ticket.

When Judge Thomas finds that Obama was in fact ineligible to run for President, the Republicans McCain/Palin will be declared the winners and take office.
So the PAC ads failed in three battleground states, yet they are continuing the same failed strategy? Keep it up, Palin PAC--you are guaranteeing President Obama another term.

what a crock..... the PAC is one of palins silent connections.... she will do anything to try to convince people how valuable she is.... but one thing she has very definately convinced all the world is that she is politically inept... she can insult, demean, ridicule, falsify facts, lie and use glitter to put her opponents down.... her form of politics in our country is outdated... people in this great country are tired of her kind tactics... and now the PAC shines for her... but the world knows it is through her.... whata joke..
i think you will see a new conservative party emerge from this McCain/palin debacle.... and it sure isn't going to support someone as inept as palin... i really doubt she will get re-reletd as governor.... and forget senator... she will try to buy her way to washington but she will fail.....

You may say a lot of things about OUR Governor, but to call her politically inept is possibly the most asinine thing that you have said in oh, since the last time you posted on our site. She went from a PTA member hockey Mom, to Mayor, to Governor, to running for the Vice Presidency. I would say she is most definitely politically adept.
You may not have noticed while you were busy working your small mind attempting to figure out new ways to say the same thing, but Governor Palin created more positive excitement in the Republican Party than any one in over 25 years. Perhaps this PAC is simply thanking her for breathing life into the party at a time when the entire country was down on it.
Since "think" and "want2ski" are mutually exclusive words, I will not comment on your thoughts on the future of the Republican Party.

Go Sarah go!! At least someone pulled their heads out. The more popular you are the better our chances of getting ANWR and the Gas line opened up. It all might give you a chance to get the politicians down below to use their heads and vote to open both. You make me and many more people proud to be Alaskans. We have to forget Political Party and think as Americans. It is so sad when you know German and Japan high school graduates have to do calculus and speak one foreign language in order to get their diploma. akbob, it takes LOTS of money to build that gasline. I had mentioned developing the Bakkan Formation in the Lower 48 in another thread. With the economy in the toilet, developing up here will be difficult at best. NO ONE, not even Palin, can make a promise like that. The higher priority should be to ensure the state coffers are managed to minimize asset loss to get thru this rough spot.

You know ya'll, I am AIP and have been for decades. I did not vote for Sarah, but apologized to her on Michael Duke's show on KFAR. I promised her my support, but had no idea that she was going down to the states and put herself to the American as a savior of the religious right!!! Until she comes back up here and I hear her tell us and convince us that she is the good Alaskan Libertarian that left here on her campaign. If she sticks to the guns she protrayed during the campaign, she stands NO CHANCE to be elected for anything!! America is tired of the Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingram, Anne Coulter Republican line!! That side of the party will continue to lose, and lose badly!! Let's hope that Sarah goes back to doing what she was doing prior to the campaign.

I feel the need..... the need for some fish slappin'!!!! This PAC spent/wasted 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS..at a time when the at risk youth of Fairbanks are desperately in need of support. There oughta be a law against this wasteful use of money. That Sarah allowed the money to be spent in this manner, just goes to show you how desperate she is to look good. Why is the PAC telling Palin thank you for the whole nation? Most of us can't stand her. She probably paid for it herself just to be on TV.
When the tv ad runs on Thanksgiving, it will include a subliminal message that will cause all liberals and Obama supporters to reach into their pockets, extract all of the cash that they might have, and send it to the poor people. This will serve several purposes. One, it will make the liberals less of hypocrites, because they will be spending their money, not ours, for a change. Two, poor people will benefit by the gazillions, thus making the $1.5 million a great investment. And three, it will leave less disposable income for liberals to waste on liberal causes, thus insuring Republican victory in future elections.
(Also, the subliminal message will be so strong that it wont help if you turn the sound down, or the picture off.)

And there in lies the problem! She is a "super star" and not a relevant political figure. For all of the jabs back and forth between us on this thread I find it hard to believe you really think she has been "misrepresented" in every interview and at every rally.
I have said it before and I will say it again, Gov Palin has proven she is capable of being a Mayor for Wasilla, and perhaps even a Governor for our state, (now that things are tougher it remains to be seen, but I am hopeful) but she was not prepared for the national arena. She was not knowledgeable on foreign policy, the economy, the war in Iraq ("I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."), the energy crisis ("drill baby drill" is not the only answer for a country trying to get away from oil dependency), etc. For Heavens sake she didn't even have a passport until she needed one to travel through Canada!
If the RNC wanted a woman to attract Hilary's voters why not go for Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison or Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine? Women who have thought about the war in Iraq and who know "what it is a Vice President does".
Gov. Palin has indeed become "an international super star", just like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan....completely irrelevant to politics and to the lives of those of us who are serious about issues facing our country.

Annie, Obama raised his money from 3.95 million ordinary Americans who want to see the country adopt a different course than the disasterous one the Bush administration has charted. To a lot of people, Sarah Palin represents the same fringe of the Republican party that Bush hails from.
For my part, I wish the Palin family a Happy Thanksgiving and hope the Republican party can produce a more pragmatic candidate in 2012. We don't need any more wars or human rights abuses in the name of the nebulous "war on terrorism", but we do need a president who will pursue peace, listen to all sides before making decisions, and put sound science above corporate interests and party doctrine. Here's hoping Barack Obama can be such a president.
You Obots have no idea just how popular Governor Palin is. You don't have a clue why a whole lot of people donated money to buy these thank you adds. This isn't the only one, several other PACs are coming online to do the same.
Governor Palin struck a real cord with conservatives. She was worth 15-20 points to McCain. She motivated the money men, and set a GOP record for donations.
What I don't get is why Alaskans aren't excited. This is all very good for the state. More and more people are excited about our northern most Americans. Look for tourism to grow considerably.
Anyhow, Governor Palin exemplifies what is good and great about America. She is a true leader and a real superstar.

How is Sarah providing facts during stump speeches ugly? Considering the crowds she drew and your inference that she appeals to the degenerate, bad asses of our country, there sure are a lot more degenerate bad asses around than we knew of.

You'll also need to provide some details of "some pretty sick governoring by your precious palin" and explain better how she "uses people to advance her own political future".
I enjoyed the ads. Sarah stands for what she knows is right and I admire that in my public servants. It's nice to see that people all across our nation feel the same. I hope she and her family had a great Thanksgiving and I'm proud to have her as my governor.
