Come to Michigan. We usually have snow to spare. Some areas near Lake Michigan already have had a few dumpings between 8in to a foot each time. We live about a half hour from the lakeshore and so far have only had a little snow.....but we know we'll get our share sooner rather than later. Temps in the 20's and 30's. Once in a great while we also get a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Nothing like the what I've seen in AK (lived there for a year, many years ago, just outside Ft. Wainwright Army Base). Visited several times since. It just keeps calling you back, doesn't it? Awesome..

ACMan...I couldn't agree with you more. There are a LOT of Governors, Mayors, etc. who do the "turkey pardon". Apparently some people don't have anything better to occupy themselves with than monitoring the Palin family, just HOPING to find something to whine about. Get a life people!

On Palin pardons one turkey while others slaughtered

$1.88 in Michigan. Now our Governor wants to add yet another tax on gasoline. We are already one of the highest taxed states as it is.

We pay $2.00 tax per pack of cigarettes here.

On Fairbanks finally sees gas price relief

AK-WDB...What would you have Palin say? Obama is President Elect..that's a given. She's willing and hopeful, as are all Americans, to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he listens to those with more experience than him. What else can we, or she, do? We have no choice at this point.

On Palin conditionally comfortable with Obama on Iraq

mrrogers...As IF disparaging doesn't go on on both sides in a campaign. If you are referring to Obama getting death threats, he was getting them long before Palin came into the picture. If you are referring to her ex-brother-in-law being threatened.... guess the shoe is on the other foot!

To those of you who have a problem with Palin campaigning for a couple of months rather than being on site in AK....you must really have a problem with Obama being a Senator and spending more time campaigning than in the Senator role.

My thanks also to all of our vets, past and active. Have a former Army husband, Marine son, and Navy father. Proud of them all....

I think everyone knew the GOP lost before they left the gate because of the problems, real and perceived, of the last 8 years. I don't believe she was placing "blame" on anything other than that fact. And you have to admit, the Dems. WERE running against GWB from the get go.

I believe it is a GOP GOVERNOR'S gathering in Miami. Everything to do with being a G.O.V.E.R.N.O.R.

And I think it was brutal and shameful how the media went after not only Gov. Palin, but her daughter, questioned if her youngest son was even Palin's child or her grandchild, her husband, her religion. That's lower than low...

The Turtle Club is a MUST. The prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes and salad bar to are all to die for! Only wish I had more room to eat more and more. Got a laugh at the dogs who wait in the parking lot for handouts. Don't worry, they're very gentle and don't really bother anyone. Heck, who can blame them for looking for those leftovers. Needless to say, they didn't stand a chance of getting any of my "doggie bag". Went to the Pike's Landing brunch and it was great...so attractively set up and a wide variety of food. Nice location too....
