Until Natural Gas is plumbed to my house.... EPA threats are full of hot air... I will continue to burn wood, til oil is affordable again or Natural Gas is readily availabe throughout the borough and plumbed for free. Almost considered moving into Fairbanks, till was told how much it was going to cost me to have Natural Gas lines run to the house, then. Forget it..especially with Natural Gas in Fairbanks is almost triple the cost compared to Anchorage. As far as money from Fed's oh well, the state needs to cover the different since the oil taxes it already receives is bursting the coffers.

It Amazes me that people are still complaining about getting a free check to help pay their bills. Probably not the best solution to the Energy situation, but I'm happy. Got both my tanks filled for free. Thank you State of Alaska.

The number one reason why heating oil and gas prices in Alaska hasn't dropped, is just that... They all want your energy rebate.

Just remember, when you vote for Obama, you only have yourselves to blame for your increased taxes, losing your gun and inviting more attacks against America, when he starts to disarm America.. Most libbies are trully ignoring the facts. Do more research..

So it's not helping us in Alaska with local refineries and gas stations not lowering the prices. Still $1.00 more on the average then lower 48 and where sending them oil....

Bad Headline it is. It's not about choosing mining over water, there are already restrictions and laws, governing mining in Alaska and all are required and monitored to ensure the are adhering to the laws, already inplace. Ballot measure 4 would have shut down all mining in Alaska.. Someone please keep the liberals from taking over our state..

Imagine that corrupt people, in Alaska still win.. Thought Stevens and Young both needed to go.. Is there no common sense left in Alaska. Young want's to raise taxes and Stevens has been pulled from any position of power.. Both have served well, and both need replaced now.

On Young opens small lead against Parnell
