Barks,

You made my point with your last sentence. Thank you.

Mr. Erickson,

We had a choice to add another layer of bureaucracy and more government intrusion and we chose not to.

brassmonkey,

You had me right up until your last two sentences. For you and those others who seem to think that we must accept any and all social behaviors within our society, I leave you with a quote from Aristotle.

"Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society."

BullsEye,

You have missed the target by a wide margin.

You should read George Washington's Farewell Address of 1796 to see what that Founding Father believed about allowing ourselves to be broken up along party lines.

When one looks at the broad spectrum of political thought, it would be asinine to assume that two parties are capable of representing all of us.

Vote for the man or woman who has a plan on how to change things the way you want to see them changed, without regard to party affiliation. Too many of us find ourselves voting for the lesser of two evils. That kind of thinking perpetuates the two party system.

If you are going to call them Demonocrats shouldn't their score be 666?

Birdie,

Rest assured that the naysayers, Anonymous Cowards and trolls who visit these forums will continue unabated.

My dream is to one day have a voter turnout of 70%. With so few of us bothering to participate in the election process, it is no wonder that we are treated like sheeple by thoose we elect to represent us.

By the way, the word is spelled cojones.

Preadtor control is NOT hunting.

You want to help animals? Go walk the ARR tracks this winter and warn moose about oncoming traffic.

I will vote NO on 2.

Ms. Zirnheld,

What you fail to understand is that you already have the power to limit your elected offcials actions. It is called a vote.

However, I do want to thank you for being a participant in the voting process rather than a non-voting naysayer.

I will be voting NO on Ballot Measure 3.

JoeBtfsplk hit the nail right on the head. Maybe someone, perhaps even Mike Kelly himself, could help me understand how a for profit company, Banner Health, can run a not-for-profit community hospital.

I do understand that many Alaskans are comfortable with only having one choice because it keeps them from having to think. I do not want to hear from you or your ilk.
