The inmates calls are already charged to the person excepting the call. It is outrageous the fees they charge them in the first place. My husband went to jail for a 1 year and 15 days because for a DWI. We paid 450 dollars a month for the calls and we were lucky they only shipped him from Fairbanks to Kenai. We spoke once a day for 30 minutes. They cut the phone off after 30 min as a rule so every thirty minutes you will be charged that extra 2 dollars on top off the connection fee that already exists. I think it was 1.35, I'm not sure but there definitely was a connection fee already. They wanted to move him to Arizona. Its hard enough on the families of inmates that there family is in jail for long periods of time and the cost of just speaking with them but to raise an already ridiculous fee higher is shameful and criminal. They have to pay for there incarceration and all there fines its out of control and to most insurmountable. It doesn't deter it just traumatizes the family. I know from first hand experience how hard it was. FYI he had his DWI overturned because he was wrongfully charged and convicted but he still did the time and we still had to pay for everything including his license to be reinstated for 500 dollars. Its a bunch of greedy prison people using the fact that criminals are hated to get even more money. Its a corrupt system and nobody cares until one of there loved ones gets trapped in it.

SO when is it going to be taken out of the water? What do we need to do to get them to take us seriously? Its what the people want not what the few elites want.

I think you have a problem with women in power positions that take care of business. We are all the better for her governorship. Thank god for SARA PALIN!

Good it damn well should. If she hadn't become Governor this investigation would have never happened. She changed everything and for the better. She's gonna knock 'em dead. It's shameful that the prices are still so high. They should be not only investigated but if it turns out that they were gouging they should be fined out the rear end.

Bottom line is attacking someone for attempting to get it together and make it right, especially when they suffer from an illness that creates a fragile state emotionally is irresponsible and abusive. I don't care whether its free speech or not were all adults here lets act like it. You don't kick someone when they are down. Its the victims of the bipolar that can write them off or tell them to go to hell. Not you Rockstar. Sounds to me you have been a victim of a bipolar. If this bi polar is not doing it right thats between her and her therapist the professional. Not the blogger that happens to be able to hide behind the internet.

I wonder how bad the real parents were. I hope to god they're was a good reason to put these kids in foster care. I don't trust OCS and pray that the system is changed for the sake of the kids. Why do people have these kids when they can't give them the life they deserve. It really pisses me off! I would help if I could by my husband is a felon and I don't think were eligible to help foster kids. I wish they didn't have to suffer so much. I couldn't imagine my babies being treated like that. STRING EM UP!!!!!!

The only thing I care about is too many in the wrong place. I like the cell tower up there. You can't hardly see it. Nobody is potentially harmed by the possible radio wave pollution that is rumored to be harmful. Its a good spot and the dead don't give a hoot. What about the tower going in behind the bowling alley. Now that concerns me. I don't like the potential harm to my kids while they attend school.
