I'm sure Ted Bundy was convinced in his own mind that he was not doing anything wrong either. Your own mind set does not determine what is/not legal, the law does. I'm only amazed that the amount they are targeting is so very small! $250 grand is nothing but a drop in the bucket. 40 years of service/pilfering offers up many chances to line ones own pocket. His glowing service to the State aside, stealing is stealing. Period. Avoid even the apearance of evil.

suomi - you are mean and close minded. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and should do a little research before you speak so harshly.
moondoggie - You are right. Nenana is outside of FNSB and has no right to our bus service. A taxi would be rather expensive but perhaps this is a small business idea for someone that needs a bit more. Get a CDL and a 15 passenger van and run this route in groups by reservation.

Longer hours and weekend hours would indeed increase the usage of the bus service, I know my family would then be able to take advantage of it.

I wonder about the Chena Hot Springs area, is there enough people out that direction that would use it????? Perhaps if they added a stop at the corner of Nordale rd... something to think about.

pixyfae, you are not giving allowance for a person to change, grow and improve themself. The article sounds like he did a great job at what he was supposed to be doing and only in his own free time did he learn, grow and further dedicate himself. Now, he has come to a point where he can no longer do what he used to do. Have YOU never come to a turning point in your life? I am sorry to hear that. Change can be a terrific way to become a better person. You should try it.

Jona, Bravo to you. I agree with your clear statement of enabling. Cindy has a heart of gold but her efforts are mis-directed, as you so eloquently stated.

Any parent that gives a CHILD that much money has no concept of money themselves. Children do not have the control to make wise financial choices. This is something that needs to be taught, by example first then by word. Our children are teenagers and their dividends are deposited into OUR account. We transfer their money to them when we are ready, or to their college fund and the energy rebate amount stays with the parents. Furthermore, we have complete access to their money and can,(and have) taken away as quickly as given. Major purchases are discussed beforehand. There will be no new TV at our home. We will have fuel oil, lights and gas in the 15 yr old car and 22 yr old truck. They have to pay the insurance on the vehicle they drive too. And they have to pay for the gas when they drive the vehicle. Teach responsibility when they are young and they will be responsible when you no longer have the chance to teach.

This same exact thing happened to us several years ago. The truck was our problem to fix and the gun was never recovered, although we do get a reminder letter from the Troopers annually asking us if we have found our missing gun.

Right, the dead people that are planted there REALLY care about the cell tower. Please! That tower is a balance between supply/demand and location is everything. I have every respect for my fellow man, once they are dead, the remains are just a shell. My boys and I have worked for others cleaning up horribly ignored grave sites in that very cemetary. Please, do not go on and on about the looks of the place. It is neglected by half of the owners. Your complaint time would be better spent getting the owners to form a caretaker group. If you want to use your cell phone, then you had better stop complaining about the towers needed to provide the service. Put your energy to productive use.

As a registered voter, I feel I have the right to vote for whomever I so choose. If the person I most admire and wish to be elected is a different party than my declaration, I should be allowed to vote for that person. I should not be limited in my choices just because I say that I personally am republican or democrat or Independant, etc. I think that If everyone were given the chance to vote for one and only one candidate from all of the choices then the person that wins, truly has won by popular vote. I think the government allowing us to choose from a limited selection is preventing our freedom of choice, speach, religeon etc. MY CHOICE, should be mine to make.

I started the sex education thing with my boys the day they were born. There is no need for discomfort. If you cannot talk to your kids like the people they are, then YOU have failed as a parent. It is YOUR fault, not theirs. They are under a enormous amount of peer pressure that is radically different from what we experienced when we were their age. I wouldn't be a teenager now for all the money in the world!
