On Palin's church: You can pray away the gay

Good Morning!

I just prayed away Palin, her church, and Republican bigotry and corruption. I'll know by the response in the forum if it worked.

If it does I'm going to pray away the Democrats, hypocrisy and free speech. Really, I promise.

have a nice day.

There's an old saying. (I'm told it's a Native American one)

"Show me who you run with and I'll show you who you are."

I didn't vote for Governor Palin but the fact that she has allied herself to a Bush Crony tells me her true values. I'll honor Senator McCain for his service in Vietnam. But his service in congress, his connection with lobbyists and corporations, tells me he's not the president I can get behind. The idea that he is some sort of maverick or fresh face is a complete joke. Governor Palin then can be condemned by the company she keeps.

Sarah did give a good performance last night. Too bad she has allied herself with McCain and the Republican party. The Republicans under Bush have led the way to an illegal war, violations of our constitutional freedoms, and a corrupt philosophy that making war makes for good profits. It would be hard for me to vote for her because of the company she keeps.

Obama, on the other hand, especially coupled with Bidden, unfortunately sounds like more of the same also. He's flipped flopped from progressive to middle of the road with a staunch hawk now at his side.

Already we as Americans have been given choices that in the long run, still lead down the same disastrous road.

Oh, and by the way. Is Socialism any worse than Corporate Slavery?

Have a great day!

On Palin has not pushed creation science as Alaska governor

As a member of the Liberal Left, I think it's only right to question her experience. Isn't that what the Democratic process is all about? We certainly see the Conservative Right asking plenty of questions about the Democratic Party and its candidates.

The separation between church and state is one of the basic freedoms our country is founded upon. Therefore, since Creationism is simply a tool of religion, it has no place in our schools.

Some of us among the Liberal Left still want America to be a great country. Some of us among the Liberal Left still believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And some of us (you can guess who) are still willing to look at the important issues rather than simply attack another group because they don't believe as we do.

Have a nice day. :)

I have worked with young people from various local schools as well as young people from both Wainwright and Eielson. It saddens me, but in too many cases we as a country have raised a number of pathetic losers who think wearing their pants around their knees and clutching a gun in their hands is all it takes to be a man or a woman.

Sadly, I don't believe this is simply a military problem. I've met far too many little idiots who grew up locally. We need more police, more troopers, and most of all, more parents who get involved with their little boys and little girls (no way will I call them Men or Women). But when the parents endorse this sort of lifestyle their little cretins are doomed.

Listen to the music your kid listens to. Look at the way your kid dresses when he leaves the house. There's an old saying: Show me who you run with and I'll show you who you are. PARENTS, WAKE UP!

Cheap shot Glace, but then that's all I've come to expect from you.

It never fails to amaze me how bitter some of you are when it comes to socialism, while at the same time being so eager to turn our country and our freedom over to multinational corporations.

My experiences with Yukonjohn lead me to believe his opinions are based on a strict interpretation of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. When considered in that light his comments make perfect sense. The current administration has made a mockery of both documents.

I'm happy to agree with YukonJohn on this issue. The Republican party is the party of corruption. The Republican party has done more damage to our rights as Americans, our freedoms as Americans, and, frankly our pocket books as Americans than Osama Bin Ladin ever accomplished.

Thanks to the Republican Party, we're now involved in an illegal war. Our national deficit is skyrocketing, while the huge multinational corporations like Exxon and KBR are making record profits. Our government is routinely spying on our own citizens and the decree of our Founding Fathers that "People are innocent until proven guilty." is completely ignored. Torture has become the American way as has a complete lack or regard for our environment.

To be fair I'm not terribly happy with Democrats either.

Voting for a Democrat now is like sawing off my own foot. Voting for a Republican is like cutting off my genitals and cutting out my own brain.
