You "killing" people are all insane. Why do you think it's necessary to kill everything? You claim that you kill the wolves (bear, wolverines, etc.) so you can hunt moose and so there is more for you to kill. This is so egocentric. Perhaps you should stop having so many children so that you have less mouths to feed.

alaskaflower-- animals were not given to us for us to feed on. We currently are the highest evolved animal-- and being that we have brains (or some of us do) and opposable thumbs means that we know how to exist without killing animals.

If people want to be barbarians and trap, then they should do it far away from public trails. Ask any vet in town and they'll tell you that they've seen trapped dogs who were on leashes. Trapping in FNSB really needs to be addressed...it's totally out of control.

Great. Let's bring in these creatures so humans can kill them. Good thinking.

Why is it always "the people" that need to be aware of energy conservation. How many lights, computers, and other gadgets are unnecessarily kept on at the University, Hospital, and other big institutions? These places don't have conservation policies in place-- and for the ones that do, they don't adhere to their policies. I'd like to see the University and other government/corporate institutions actively saving energy costs and developing renewable sources of energy (e.g., hey, what about supplemental solar in the summer)?

Alaska really needs to take a long and hard look at the treatment of dogs and animals. We see this over and over, someone has xxx many dogs and the dogs aren't cared for. Most of the dogs end up euthanized. If Bartko is indeed guilty of failing to care for his animals, he should be penalized financially as well as spend some time in the pen.
