We killed the big 3 when we opened Nafta. Allowing all of these cars into our country from foreigners and making it so cheap and easy due to that stupid free trade agreement.

Of course, no one had to purchase them.

The fire got into the wall through a metalbestos pipe that was not screwed on correctly.

Having a few armed & responsible people walking around here would be a nice deterrant to crime. Maybe if some of these idiots had someone to fear (other then the miniscule amount of cops this town has on the streets at any one time) they would think twice.

I'm with Yukon John on this one. I honestly don't want to kill someone for robbing Wendy's, but, if he is placing a gun in someones face for money - I think he needs a gun placed in his face to make him stop!

Not very many people are taking into consideration the people that he is pointing his gun at. What if he decides to harm someone next time? I hope Yukon is there to defuse the situation!

If this is going to happen I think the location needs to be discussed. As many others are saying - the location is really stupid! There are nice open lots right on Badger road close to the intersection at Hurst - there are nice lots right across the street from the post office. There is a horrible looking building that really needs to be torn down on 5th ave - right next to a park no less. WHAT ARE YOU POLITICIANS THINKING!!! Put the building in an easy to access location where a lot of people could walk to it in the summertime.

He may have insurance, but if you look around your home you may realize that there are some things that cannot be replaced. Let alone the piece of mind someone loses when something like this happens. Something as simple as a piece of metalbestos pipe not being all the way together can cost you your home or even worse - your life. Think about that!

What is really funny is how nice everyone was on the 31st when they 1st published the story of the house burning down. Today the Newsminer goes further into the story revealing it was a pastors home and some really nasty comments fly!

On the other hand - I go to a church where the pastor does preach in jeans. I think that God would want you to come to church in whatever you normally wear. I doubt that he would be interested in whether Pastor McCoy has on slacks or jeans. I doubt that the congregation would either, although I may be wrong.
I went to that church twice and I will be honest - because everyone found it necessary to "dress up" I myself did not feel comfortable. I also can say I felt as though I was being looked down upon.

Another point for all of oyu making negative comments. I believe that this man has a "job" besides preaching where he has earned money.

Before you go saying that he has been using tithes to pay for his home you had better know for sure what you are talking about.

Many kids leave their homes fully attired in their winter gear. But, once they are out of their parents sight they choose to take it off for fear of not looking "cool".

Not always the parents fault!

I thank God for your faith! A man without it would have been crushed by now.
Pastor McCoy you are truly an inspiration.

I am sorry for the hardships that you have endured. Obviously God is with you!

Hopefully some day the Newsminer will decide which stories are not beneficial of comments. This story really did not need any commenting, let alone NEGATIVE ones!

God Bless you Pastor McCoy, you atill have your life & will continue to inspire people. Your attitude through hardship is the best of the best!
