I am so glad that you all had such a wonderful out come! I am also the proud parent of a 1lb 10oz baby (now 16). it is alot of work, tears, worry, victories, and money. I am glad to say that after all that we went through I am a better parent because of it. Thank you for sharing your stories, and pray for the families that were not so lucky.

As long as they can get away with it the price will continue to rise, until the people finally put their foot down then they will set the price there. The real question is: When are we as a country going to put our foot down and say enough?

I by no means are saying the boys are guilty or not guilty, but I have been following this for awhile now and have read the documents, and interviews. I think there is something missing in this whole thing, something does not fit right. I don't know if it is the time line, or a key player in this. I am looking forward to seeing what the DNM puts out, maybe it will answer some things for me. I just hope that they watch out and make sure they are not one sided about what they print.

I am sorry, and correct me if I am wrong but, the Military does pay for it's housing just not like most people do. When they move off of base/post that money is added to their check so that they may pay their rent/morgage and if they decide to live on base/post that money is removed from their check before they get it. Also they only get so much if their rent/morgage and utilities goes over that amount they loose that much more.

I teach my child to be independant, and at 16 years old is required to pay for extra's like a cell phone, car insurance, maintaining the car she will drive, saving for college, and anything above and beyond. I feel that MOST children that I know contribute to their household in one form or another, they survive our winters, and work jobs. just because they are not head of the house does not mean they are not intitled. There is no fair way to distribute this to make everyone happy. So unless you feel like doing the work and come up with a better solution and set it into motion, maybe we should agree to disagree and go with the present plan in place. I am in no way saying that it is the best way to do it but it is the fast way to get some small amount of relief now for people who need it.

I am not saying I drive 90 in a 55 I am saying that everyone is guilty of doing these things for what ever the reason is, as an example I wrote I am always late for work. I am aware of the risks as is everyone else. but that does not mean it doesn't happen. If all of you would actually admit it when you did something wrong then maybe, just maybe you could actually help solve the problem you are complaining about and you wouldn't spend so much of your morning tearing people down. As for me being selfish well atleast I own up to my mistakes and take action to fix them. I am sorry that FreeDarfur, alaskastoryteller, Bedasse, and polarmark are offened that I could actually be human and have done things that I admit are not the smartest thing in the world. I am also sorry that I am the only one of these people that has done something that could have a bad outcome. And that my lifetime of no tickets or accidents is just another sign of my bad judgement, and time is just waiting to catch up to me.

I do all of the above! I have pulled out in front of someone because I was in a hurry, was it smart? NO, but we have all done it. I speed down the Rich. in 4WD in the winter, and get mad when people won't move! I am always late for work in the morning. We ALL have or do all of the above, Just remember no one is perfect and we have all made our share of bad choices.

afmommy- No, I do not feel that anyone who does not spend more than 6 months a year here should get the dividend. I think it is important to try to keep the money the state pays people in the state. In the military you have no control of where and when you are going to go somewhere and until you can, you should not collect it. I also feel that if this State spent more time getting this money back from people that left then we would have less people trying to cheat the State and it's people!
