So my only issue on the energy rebate is... Everyone is going to get it right!? Well unfortunatly for my husband and myself we probably won't, because we haven't been able to apply for the PFD yet until this year. We won't get that till 09' but we did however buy a house and paid for fuel last year and of course will this year. Sorry, my point is there are people out there that don't have to pay for fuel to heat their houses because the place where they rent its free(birchhill) or government pays(on post)just examples. So I say we have to prove that we paid for fuel to heat our houses to qualify for the "Energy Rebate" and maybe even prorate the cost of the rebate... or lets just pay the rates that Anchorage pays...

I live right by there and was able to see the day to day progress... it was amazing!!! There was a just a foundation two thursdays ago now the building is done! Reminds me of the farmers back in Texas and the barn raising, wish that everyone could come together and help! There are people in need of workers, I myself am going to try to get together with Habitat for Humanity and help build a house... no religious tie. Perfect place for those who don't want to be converted!

Way to go Firefighters!!!! You make us proud!
As for the smokers, shame shame I don't know your name but I can write down your license plate number and report you... maybe if we report enough of the offenders we can send tickets to them for littering...

Ok I'm not a tree hugging greenie! But I think Moose are a part of living here in alaska and We need them so that the wolfs don't eat our dogs! I mean really, in a few years we're not going to have anymore wolves, bears, and moose because we are going on "Cow Hunts", and "Wolf hunts" and "Bear hunts" OH MY!!!
So for those who get their quota for the season great! But do we have to "erradicate" our wildlife? Remember they were here before us and hopefully will continue to be here... Please don't misunderstand, I understand the reasoning behind population control. But saying we need to kill them all, Seriously!

In many busy cities, they have a night crew! With the sunset getting later and later, I don't get why they can't work late and avoid the morning and afternoon when its the busiest time. Sure we may have to pay a little more for their wages to take those shifts, but in the long run it saves us time and money (by money I mean gas) I may have to take Nordale to Chena to Steese to Johansen to get to work because of the construction.
We do after all live in the land of the midnight sun!

You better hope that good samaritan doesn't get cold feet and say it's not worth MY life! The Firefighter wouldn't think twice! So I want a trained proffessional to help me! I hope that your family is ok zeb4jc!

geez this could go on and on... it's simple,
I am woman: its my body I'll do with it what I choose. You may not agree with my Choice but it was mine to make. There was no moral choice for YOU to make, so you can rest easy knowing that you've got that "Sin Free" pass straight to the pearly gates (okay really are YOU sure your going?)
Now some facts on me... yes I am a woman and yes I want kids so badly sometimes I cry myself to sleep. I haven't been able to for 10 years now. I'm still young so I know there's still hope. But it kills me to see a drug addicted crack momma with a baby on the way... I would love to be able to adopt those "unwanted babies" but I don't have the 10,000- 20,000.00 dollars to adopt a baby! The choice was given to that crack momma and now that baby is in the hospital unable to go home because he's so addicted to crack that he can't stop crying, he grows up in a nasty home without love and may not grow up to see 20...
it's all about CHOICE
