I am a huge fan of Ted Stevens. He may be a Republican hobnobing with the fat cats but he is still a man of the people - Alaskan people, his Alaskans. There has been a few things I did not like and a lot that I have. He has kept a whole lot of us working at real jobs building Alaska's infrastructure. It is sure a different place up here from when he started. There are a whole lot of us working right now, feeding their families, sending kids off to college, on jobs that Ted brought home. He is one helluva man and I am here thanking him right now for all he has done for me - a born Alaskan. Thank you Ted. Good luck in the next few days - I hope to God you win this thing.

Hey it means nothing to me when they say they represent the working people because mostly if it is the Republican Party - it just is not true. They represent big business- management if you will. A genuine minority. So they need lots of bodies to carry a vote. Hence appeals to Joe Sixpack(excuse me while I barf awhile). They still don't quite have the nerve to really lie and say "we are going bring home jobs- real jobs- the kind you can raise a family with". The Democrats represent working people.

Now that is genuine citizenship. Thank you Andree! Anyone can talk
and say something isn't right. That one step further now that has
meaning.

There you go Setec using logic and insightfulness again. We are talking about politics as designed by Karl Rove. Putting together a
song and dance only half of America will buy. But buy it they will.
And then see what they pull this time to jam on in. Start getting used to the idea now that Sarah is going to be running the show in a while. God is on her side. Don't believe it? Just watch in awe. I will be too. It can't be real but it is.

Don't worry Setec, Sarah is tough as an old turkey leg.

The Republican Party represents big business. Big business. What part of these two words don't you understand?

I believe Ted Stevens over Bill Allen any and every day of the week. It is sad truth that we don't always choose our friends wisely. Bill sold his soul to the devil years ago. Where we should be looking and conveniently enough are not; is at that devil. The drama of Bill and Ted is making a pretty good diversion. I will give a great big couple of hints: Who bankrolled Bill and gave him all those no bid
contracts?

Beautiful letter. This fellow Alaskan is pointing out reality on the north coast of Alaska in clear and noble terms. You folks have further illustrated the frustration that is described. No one is listening. You don't really care. The environment up there is radically changing. It is happening faster now. When you have been away and then come back it is even more clear. To someone observing listening it is easy to sort out that the Republicans not only don't care they want to deny anything is really going on. It is easy to sort out that the Democrats do care and have some interest. As an Alaskan walking in his shoes would you vote for candidates that want to deny what you can plainly see with your own eyes? Sure there may not be solutions. There are a whole buch of us out here that have respect for seekers of solutions. Problem solving not by force, ignorance, and greed, but by cooperation, wisdom, and information sharing. I have hopes for that myself. Yeah hope. We are realists too. And we know for a fact that there is another way to do things than the garbage that has been going down. Thanks Larry for a great letter to all of us.

She took the state a big step in the wrong direction. TransCanada and too high of a tax on the oil. There is no vision in a pipeline heading out. It is the best way to minimize what we can do in the long run with our gas. Too high a tax on our oil? I know it is hard to feel sorry for the oil companies. If they are taxed too high it is relatively easy for them to curtail investment in exploration and development. And they have. And they will continue. This is money in our pockets that we don't get. One heckuva a lot more than a PFD payment. Jobs. We want jobs. Jobs with a future. Jobs for our kids. The Republican Party as running for office now are part of the Problem. Time to clean house and put in the Party that seeks Solutions. The Democrats. One of the beautiful things about the
Democratic Party is that if you get in there working for great solutions they will listen. The Republicans only respond to their own
ideas and desires period. I have no respect for them as they are now.
It is time for them to be the hard working underdog for a good long while.
