All respect was lost before this investigation. It was apparent when Stevens adamently refused to have oil corp. spokesmen swear in for Senate hearings on price-gouging. They then could not be prosecuted for their later exposed lies.
This sounds like a "bulldog on our side"?
Keep telling yourself that this winter.

It was clear then. It is crystal clear now.

Why don't construction crews work at night in the Interior? Almost every other city I've been to does road construction at night to convenience the public and avoid the day's heat. Now, they do it with a lot of artificial lights... I guess that would be more expensive.

If only we could find a way to not have to use atrificial lights for road construction here in the Land of the Midnight Sun.

Suggestions?

I used to live across the street from Curry's Corner and will have to second buboy. Almost everything in that store is expired or stale, the goods are way overpriced- especially because they are rotten, and service does suck. It's surprising to me that oil prices are the rub, that place should have went under long ago.

DNM applied a stupid sensationalism to this article. To what benefit did the sentence do? Was the comment "a night of drinking" necessary? The story already stated that Dave had drank before driving. You would think the News Miner would show a little respect concerning a tragedy that began to show a little closure. Ian was the friendliest, kind soul anybody could know. He and his family didn't deserve to be hurt again after his passing.

I'll always remember Ian as the guy who stuck around and brought me home from work way after his shift was over.
I'll always remember Ian as the guy who was the shine in his Dad's eye when he scored in soccer.
I'll always remember Ian as the guy who skipped class to share his adventures in Europe with me.
I'll always remember Ian as the guy who did the best "Agent Smith" impression.
I'll always remember Ian as the guy who treated me like his best friend, even after not hearing from him for years.

I'll miss his humor, kindness, and music.

I miss you Ian.

You're not a Fairbanksan if you don't avoid downtown like the plague.

I can see that Microtel, or whatever it is in "box store village", getting a lot of business. The ambiance of the Steese and McDonalds will be a lot better than the symphony of constant construction and howling drunks in downtown.

Good luck with all of that!
