Greetings from Juneau! And welcome to the News-Miner’s new blog on state politics, the Interior delegation, and oil and gas issues.

In the past, we’ve had the Info Pipe, which was aimed at giving an in-depth understanding of oil and gas issues.

This year we’re branching out. In addition to oil and gas, we’ll get into other big state issues — the budget, the PERS/TRS, and so on. And we’ll try to have some fun, because the capitol isn’t just about taxes and spending.

I’m Stefan Milkowski, the News-Miner’s Juneau reporter, and I’ll be doing most of the blogging. But other News-Miner folks in Fairbanks and Washington, D.C., will add stuff, too.

In addition to the blog items, we’ll post online versions of some of our stories.
