Alaska has been a red state for some time. In the thrill and hope for change, I think we have overlooked that 1) most people in this state will probably vote for the seasoned veteran, John McCain in the general election 2) a whole lot of people don't really want change; they want their life to be secure.

As a woman who has waited a lot of years to see a woman acknowledged as a leader and one who has seen inexperience shredded to bits in the political arena, I voted for Clinton. Yet I felt the energy and excitement of the Obama caucus.

Friends, I truly hope if your candidate gets the Democratic nomination, you can get him elected and secondly keep him in office for 8 years. I hope you have the toughness and the perseverance for the long haul, because he will need it.
