Blog: Raeder of the Lost Blog

The aftermath

Published Saturday, March 22, 2008

After an intitial burst of jubilation from Dawkins' interception, the crowd had to wait a few minutes to react to the win. That -- coupled with the fact that fans are allowed on the field after the game -- led to a relatively relaxed denoument. The fans calmly filed out of the stands and, with the exception of some excitable kids dancing around, they entered the field in a reasonable manner and politely shook the athletes' hands.

It wasn't the rush-the-field madness that you can find on D-II college campuses, but the fans seemed to be enjoying themselves.

After a quick look at the stat sheet, there are a few minor changes (yardages, ect.) in the previous posts. Be sure to read Danny Martin's story in the March 23 News-Miner to catch the many things the Lost Blog could not hold.
