It was a surreal moment, for sure, when announcer Conrad Gonzalez asked everyone to leave Lathrop Stadium. No one really responded at first. Was he for real?
The 2008 edition of the Dog Bowl, the game between the Lathrop Malemutes and West Valley Wolfpack, was weird to begin with, but the fight that caused it to end pushed an already off-kilter night over the edge.
The thing is, there were a lot of great plays and stats that I couldn't fit into the space allotted for the story in today's News-Miner.
Luckily, there's a lot of Internet out there for me to write on, so check back to the Strong Side tomorrow for a little further insight into the game without regard to the mess afterward.
